c++11 Compiler support in Ubuntu 12.04

I was trying out FIX8 version 1.2.0. It needs C++11  compiler support. I am using ubuntu 12.04 which has default g++ version as 4.6.3 which doesn’t support all C++11 features while 4.8 supports the same(https://gcc.gnu.org/gcc-4.8/changes.html). The following  steps  allow you to install gcc 4.8 version in ubuntu 12.04

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:ubuntu-toolchain-r/test

sudo apt-get update

sudo apt-get install g++-4.8

sudo update-alternatives –install /usr/bin/g++ g++ /usr/bin/g++-4.8 50

try  “g++ -v”

Same steps can be followed for gcc also.
